The event will feature Friday evening reading circles and get-acquainted time; and four Saturday workshops plus a discussion panel. A book table will be available; please bring cash or cheque for purchases. Participants may bring books to sell on consignment. Location

Taking Your Nonfiction Idea Through Writing and Research to Publication
Noeline Bridge is a writer, indexer and former editor. She has twice won first prize for nonfiction in the Writers’ Federation of New Brunswick annual competitions. She has published the biographical chapter in Strathern’s Alberta Newspapers 1880-1982: An Historical Directory; a chapter in Study in Grey: Women Writing about Depression; the travel sections in Royals of England: A Guide for Readers, Travelers, and Genealogists; and articles in alternative newspapers in Alberta and New Brunswick on the subjects of food and poverty. Under her married name, Noeline Alston, she has published articles for Anglican newspapers in Alberta and New Brunswick. In the indexing field, she has published articles and book chapters, and is compiling a book on the indexing of names.
Daydreams and Sweat Equity: Building Your Story
Joanna Mallory is acquisitions editor and writes a quarterly fiction column for InScribe Christian Writers’ Fellowship’s FellowScript member magazine. She’s had more than 85 articles, reviews and stories printed or re-printed, most recently in Glad Tidings, Evangel, The Evangelical Baptist and ByLine Magazine. Joanna’s main writing passion is fiction, and she is marketing her first novel manuscript.
Using Drama to Create Believable Characters
Blue cartoon creatures in silly white pants came alive in Angela Ranson’s first story, which was written at the age of nine. Since then, her creativity has expanded into historical fiction, romance and mysteries. She also writes contemporary fiction and nonfiction articles, most recently for Moncton’s daily newspaper, the Times and Transcript. She also has had articles published in Canadian Stories, Canadian Teacher, the NBTA News, and in the anthologies PraiseReports and The Best of Faithwriters. Last year, her short story, “The Resource Kid,” earned second place in the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick’s annual Literary Competition. Angela Ranson spends her days teaching English and History in Sackville, New Brunswick. She also teaches creative writing, coaches an improvisational theatre team, and spends as much time as possible with her family.

Elaine Ingalls Hogg’s writing experience includes two bestselling books, Christmas in the Maritimes and When Canada Joined Cape Breton; three children’s books, including the award-winning picture book Remembering Honey; and a pictorial history, Historic Grand Manan, launched in the spring of 2007. Some of her devotionals and inspirational writing may be found in the following anthologies: What Can I Do? Ideas to Help Those Who Have Experienced Loss by Barbara A. Glanz, God Allows U-Turns, Cup of Comfort, and Soul Matters for Mothers. She also has contributed to numerous magazines including The Upper Room, The Canadian Gideon, Saltscapes, and Wesleyan Life, and writes her “Heaven and Earth” column in The Kings County Record. Elaine and her husband, Hugh, live in Sussex, NB. RegistrationFull registration includes Friday night snack and lodging (double occupancy), Saturday breakfast, lunch and snacks. Saturday-only registration is also available (includes lunch and snacks but you’ll miss the chance to get to know your fellow writers).
