Testimonial from a Member of The Word Guild
Joining The Word Guild was the smartest thing I've done as a writer. I decided to become a fulltime writer in the spring of 2007. I knew nothing. I didn't even know enough to know how much I didn't know. All success I have found is God's work and all praise is due Him alone. Through my association with The Word Guild, I've learned how dynamic and exciting the community of writers in Canada is. This is a fantastic group of writers, from beginners to professionals, who know what it means to be sold out to Christ. I've been encouraged by the members, both professionally and personally. They don't just write, they pray, they encourage, they check up on you, they befriend you. My involvement with Hot Apple Cider, as a contributing author and as project manager, took me to a deeper level of involvement and commitment to The Word Guild. I began my journey as writer alone, and filled with trepidation. But today, because of my association with The Word Guild, I know I'm part of an exciting, growing, thriving industry of professionals. I'm not alone or filled with trepidation. I'm filled with joy and I'm rolling up my sleeves and getting down to the work of being a great Canadian writer, volunteer, mentor, and friend—just like the membership of The Word Guild is for me.
